My Approach
My therapeutic approach is based on movement and targeted exercise as the foundation for long-term health and quality of life. My areas of expertise include osteoarthritis, sarcopenia, fall prevention and sustainable strength development in later life. My goal is to provide each person with practical, individualised tools that help them gradually build confidence, resilience and trust in their own body.
In our weekly small-group programme, Active with Osteoarthritis, people with knee or hip osteoarthritis learn how targeted exercise can reduce pain and improve quality of life over the long term. Under the guidance of physiotherapist Julia Mastny, participants complete a varied circuit of exercises designed to strengthen the muscles that support and protect the knee and hip joints. The programme is safe, practical and suitable for both knee and hip conditions, regardless of fitness level.
In addition to the exercise sessions, Julia provides evidence-based education about osteoarthritis, helping participants better understand their condition. The aim of the programme is to empower you to stay active, live independently and build lasting confidence in your body.
